A while ago, Gmail brought in a feature that would mark the more important messages in your inbox with a yellow tag. By doing this it hoped to designate which messages required the highest priority for attention.
But some users don’t like them. If you don’t, there’s an easy way to get rid of them.
Open up the Gmail settings page by click on the “Gears” icon and then clicking on “settings”.
Then, hit the “inbox” tab. There, you should see an option to select “show markers” or “no markers”. Simply toggle between the two to get your preference.
