Many entrepreneurs are now using Skype to keep in touch with colleagues and clients – especially if they’re operating over vast distances. It’s cheap and reliable.
But you won’t be getting the most out of Skype unless you properly set up your headset. It’s a simple process, but many don’t do it.
Click on Tools, and then on the General tab. Then, you want to select the Audio Settings profile.
You should see a drop down menu next to the word “Speakers”, and then you’ll want to choose the best speaker setting that you have. It usually does this automatically but you may want to double-check.
Right above that feature you should see the microphone setting – choose the correct audio input option and then choose your microphone volume.
This is an easy task, but with just a few seconds of work you may find you drastically improve the quality of your calls.
