Set up Google two-factor authentication

tech-tricksIf you use a Google account – and you probably do – then you’ve most likely set up a nice, strong password so people can’t get into your accounts.

But there’s a better way to protect your data. Two-factor authentication will give you an extra layer of security.

Two-factor authentication is simple. You simply add a mobile number to your account, so if anyone tries to access your account through a different device, Google sends you a text message with an activation code. A hacker needs both your password, and access to your mobile number to get in – having two passwords to crack is obviously much harder than having one.
