Entrepreneurs naturally use their computers quite a bit, but too many don’t know how to keep them safe. There are plenty of free anti-virus and firewall software packages available on the internet they can use, but many don’t know where to look.
If you’re unsure of how to protect your computer, here are a few free resources you should consider looking out for:
- AVG. This is one of the most popular free anti-virus software packages, and for good reason – it has a bunch of features. Every file you download can be checked, and it’ll do a regular scan for you as well.
- Avast! This is another good alternative, providing good scan options and the ability to select which programs you want approved. The notifications can get annoying, but you can turn them off.
- Microsoft Security Essentials. While Microsoft has been sorely lacking in the anti-virus department, this tool is perhaps one of the best. And because they’re such a large company, you’ll be sure to find support if something goes wrong.
