With Apple’s new iOS 6 update available, users will want to download it as quickly as possible. And now with iOS 5, you can do it wirelessly.
Previously you were forced to download the update through iTunes. Now, you can do it over a WiFi wireless network.
To do so, head to the Settings app, then choose “general”, and then “software update”. There, you should see the ability to update your software. Just hit “download” and get started.
A point of caution – you may need to keep your phone plugged into a power source. The download could take a while, and you don’t want to lose power in the middle of an update.
