If you’re using a blog to update customers on your products and other information, then you should be protecting it with some security features as well.
There’s nothing worse than finding your blog has been hacked and your customers have seen posts created by someone else. Hackers could even access your blog and delete all your posts as well.
To make sure your WordPress site is protected, you should do the following:
- Download the Chap Secure Login plugin. This adds a random symbol to your password and will make it harder for hackers to guess.
- You should also download and install the Login Lockdown plugin. This protects your WordPress site from being accessed when there have been a number of failed entry attempts.
- Always make sure you upgrade to the latest versions of everything.
Install the WP Security Scan plugin and make sure you scan your site regularly. You don’t want to be left out in the cold by forgetting to scan your website for new vulnerabilities.
