App launched to help shoppers boycott President: Would you stop using PayPal for politics?

This week, US president elect Donald Trump took a break from Twitter to tell the world that he will step back from his corporate empire so he can focus on his new project, the United States.

“I feel it is visually important, as president, to in no way have a conflict of interest with my various businesses,” Trump said on Twitter.

But it isn’t enough for everyone and an activist group in New York has developed an app giving consumers a chance to continue voting against Trump by boycotting any businesses with links to his commercial empire.

The app developed by US-based The Democratic Coalition Against Trump (DCAT) lists major tech companies like Amazon, which sells Trump’s clothing, PayPal and Groupon.

“[PayPal] co-founder Peter Thiel has been an outspoken supporter and donor of Trump’s,” TechCrunch states.
