Meet the startup winners in this year’s Smart50 Awards

The 2017 Smart50 Awards showcase not only fast-growing SME’s, but also high-growth startups disrupting sectors from insurance to real estate and beyond.

Sydney-based insurtech startup Cover Genius nabbed the top award of the night for its technology that helps streamline processes in the Australian insurance market — an offering that has led the startup to boast $13.6 million in revenue in the past financial year and an impressive 2606.3% three-year revenue growth rate.

Also in the top 10 high-growth companies of the night were ASX-listed HR startup Xref and Sydney legal startup LegalVision, which took out the 3rd and 9th spots respectively, both turning over millions in revenue in the last year.

Personal loans startup MoneyMe wasn’t far behind, taking out the 11th spot on the night with a 297.8% three-year growth rate, followed by co-working space Gravity at number 12. Sydney-based startup Digivizer also snuck into the top 20, coming in at number 15 with its social-analytics offerings.

Rounding out the startup presence on the night was trades marketplace Hipages at number 29, with a three-year revenue growth rate of 99.8%, and real estate startup ActivePipe, which secured the 35th spot after enjoying a three-year growth rate of 92.7% for its predictive algorithms that tell real estate agents when their contacts are looking at buying and selling property.
