The iOS 5 update has brought plenty of new features to the iPhone and iPad, but one of them makes typing even easier – the ability to split the keyboard on the iPad.
When you’re browsing while holding the device, it can be cumbersome to use your thumbs to type. Now, to split the keyboard all you need to do is put your thumbs in the middle of the keyboard on either side, and then move them to the edge of the screen.
After you split the keyboard, you can also move both halves up and down the screen to adjust them easier.
Once you’re done, you can simply move them back together to restore the default keyboard, or just turn the lock screen off and on.
