The great thing about DropBox is that once you change your file on one computer, that change filters through to all the other computers as well. It’s a great way to keep documents in line.
But once in a while you’ll find there are different files being uploaded that are so big they could take even several hours to download. That can be a problem if your internet connection is a slow one.
If you want to limit the amount of bandwidth being used for your DropBox download, you can manually adjust the download limit. Right-click on the DropBox icon in the system tray, then click on “preferences”, and then hit the “bandwidth” tab.
Once there, you can choose to limit your download rate, and you can also limit your upload rate as well if you would like, or just set it to unlimited.
