Using wireless internet has become commonplace now, with entrepreneurs now able to connect wherever they go. But what happens if you don’t happen to have a connection, or you’ve misplaced a USB dongle?
If you own an iPhone, then tethering your laptop can be one sufficient and relatively simple solution.
First, you need to go to the Settings app on your iPhone. Scroll down to “General”, and then hit “Network”.
There, you should see a number of options – the fourth one down should say Personal Hotspot. (If you are updated to the latest version of iOS). Click on there, then press that option to “On”.
This creates a wireless network that up to five devices can connect to the internet with – the password should be listed just below the option to turn on the Personal Hotspot.
But you can also connect via Bluetooth and USB. Just plug in your iPhone to your computer, and then choose the iPhone from a list of network devices – and you’ll be connected.
