It’s a safe practice to carefully read URLs before you visit them, in order to see if you’re being scammed or tricked into visiting an unsafe site. But wouldn’t it be great if you could actually see a website as well?
If you’re using Internet Explorer, you can. First, you need to install an add-on called “Preview and Launch URL” which is available here.
After it’s installed, you’re ready to go. First, you right-click on a link. Then, you can scroll up to an option that says “all accelerators”, which should be added after you installed the add-on.
Then, you’ll be given the option to preview and launch a URL. Hover your mouse, and you’ll be given a screenshot of the site. This is good for checking out potentially harmful URLs or websites that seem a bit suspect.
