Facebook has recently implemented a new tool that will allow users to download all the information from their profile into a Zip file. You might not have access to it just yet, but it’s being rolled out and here’s how to use it.
Go to the Account menu, and then choose Account Settings. Under the Account Security link you will see a link called “Download Your Information”.
Follow the prompts, and Facebook will start compiling all your data. If you have a lot of videos and photographs, it could take awhile.
Then it will send you an email with a link, where you will have to input your password another time. Follow the prompts to download your information.
This could be particularly useful if you have pictures on Facebook you want to use again, or even some videos you want to use for your business on other websites.
