The iPhone Spotlight search is a useful feature that allows users to search their entire phone for anything – it will look through contacts, emails, text messages and applications to find what you’re looking for.
But many users don’t know they can customise their search functions.
To do this, open the Settings app, and then hit the general tab. Under the “Bluetooth” option, you’ll see an option to hit “Spotlight Search”.
There, you’ll see a list of different categories. You’ll be able to move them around, by prioritising some categories over others. This means if you don’t want to search through text messages or videos very often, you can put those results towards the bottom, and more relevant categories towards the top.
