Study the world rich list

Ah, nothing gets my heart going like money. And there’s not better place to read about money than Forbes magazine’s list of the world’s richest billionaires.

Will you find the name of your (not so) humble Taskmaster on the list? I can’t say. But what I can say is that you will find the names of many of my heroes there and I do implore all of you to study the ways of the wealthy.

Here are few key takeouts from the list:

–        There are hundreds, if not thousands of different ways to get wealthy. When you’re studying the profiles of the list members, look specifically at their early careers, how they spotted their idea and then executed it.

–        These are the people shaping the future of your industry. Pay close attention to the entrepreneurs in your sector and look for clues about the direction they are going in.

–        The new members of the list are always the most interesting. They’re the up and comers, doing what you are doing except on a slightly bigger scale. Watch them closely.
