One of the things that always strikes new entrepreneurs is the sheer number of decisions that have to be made every single day. Indeed, entrepreneurship often seems like a never-ending stream of big and small decisions about every last thing.
Well, let me help you cut down your decision burden with some advice from a most unusual source – US President Barack Obama.
According to a great new profile of the world’s most powerful leader by journalist Michael Lewis, Obama has decided to only wear blue or grey suits, so that his clothing is one less thing to worry about.
“You’ll see I wear only grey or blue suits,” he says in the profile.
“I’m trying to pare down decisions. I don’t want to make decisions about what I’m eating or wearing. Because I have too many other decisions to make.”
Not a bad call, is it?
If you gave yourself a loose corporate uniform, would it help reduce your stress just a touch? Could you even go a step further and get an actual corporate uniform?
