Huddle Spaces, a new co-working space in central Sydney, has been launched with the promise of introducing the kind of creative prototyping of service-based ideas as is currently applied to products.
The facility, located in Sydney’s Pitt Street, is being launched by Huddle, a “service design agency.”
Huddle Spaces, which launches next week and will be able to host 20 people at any one time, will initially be used by Huddle’s big name clients.
The businesses will be able to use the space to come up with creative solutions for service-based ideas, such as role playing interactions with customers and streamlining complicated processes.
However, Huddle plans to open up the space to service-based start-ups keen to interact with others in the same area.
Huddle Spaces will feature co-working areas, as well as meeting rooms and a lounge. Huddle says that it is keen to bring all kinds of creatives to the space, such as actors and illustrators.
“There are a few converging trends we’ve noticed,” says Nathan Welch, who will head up Huddle Spaces. “People are re-thinking creativity when it comes to services and designing solutions to problems needs space and prototypes.”
“Also, space is at a premium for businesses and this offers the ideal setting to test ideas. Service businesses need to lower their costs while enhancing the customer experience, which means that they need to test their offering before they go to market.”
“You do this with a product, so why not a service?”
Following its Sydney launch, Huddle Spaces will look to expand the concept to Melbourne.
