Run an experiment for a customer

What if you could revolutionise the way one of your customers did business?

A few years ago I went to visit one of our key customers and when he took my through his production facility I noticed something the about way they were using and then selling our products – the process of packing our product with a complementary product was much more cumbersome than it should have been.

So I went away and started thinking about it. Without telling the customer we started working on a version of the product that would suit his needs better – slightly different design, slightly different packaging.

We developed a prototype and I went back to the customer with the little surprise. I explained what we’d done, why we’d done it and how we thought it could help.

The customer was really excited. We rushed down to production and did a little test. We made some modifications, worked on things a bit more and eventually . . . it came nothing.

Things didn’t quite work out for one reason or another but let me tell you the time we put in was well worth it. That customer is a customer for life.

So think about a little surprise for one of your customers. You’ll make their year!

Get it done – today!
