Drink to your startup success: A toast to some champagne business ideas

There’s nothing your loyal correspondent enjoys more than a good awards show. The ball gowns. The tuxedos. The red carpets and flashing lights.

Or, if startups are involved, at least one baseball cap – but not nearly enough hoodies.

You see, this week Old Taskmaster made an appearance, incognito, at the StartupSmart awards.

The awards are always a highly motivating celebration of entrepreneurialism, and this year certainly was no exception.

Congratulations to all the nominees, especially Pocketbook, CareMonkey, CareMonkey, BENT OVER Silicone Nozzles, She’s Empowered, TalkLife, Simply Raw, Paws for Life and – who could forget – Vinomofo. It’s time to toast your success!

And since the winner of the Best Startup award is Vinomofo, the Taskmaster says there’s no better way to toast Australian entrepreneurship than with a nice glass of red.

(As long-time readers will know, yours truly is partial to a Brandy Old-fashioned, but certainly won’t complain about a quality Australian shiraz.)
