Starting up is tough. When you pass a big milestone or win something (an award, a new client, a tender) then it is crucial to celebrate the success with your staff and your family.
This message is mainly aimed at the companies who entered the StartupSmart Awards, who have every right to go back to their offices and throw a party.
But as we close in on the end of the first quarter of 2011, it’s something every company should take note of.
Reflect on the first three months and pick out something that you and your team has achieved.
Hopefully it’s something like blowing you budget out of the water, but there are plenty of other things to celebrate in business, such as:
- No time lost through injuries.
- A reduction or elimination of customer complaints.
- New clients or staff.
- Staff meeting goals.
- A new office or premises.
- Your firm’s birthday.
The key thing to remember here is that entrepreneurs need to regularly show their appreciation for their teams, their supporters, their family and friends and their own hard work.
Get it done – today!
