Garden-in-a-bottle appeals to wannabe green thumbs

start-up-idea-flowersTime-poor or hopeless gardeners can now buy an instant garden in a bottle.

All they have to do is pour it onto a dug-up bed and water it. Six weeks later, they have a vibrant meadow garden that will last from spring to the first frost.

The bottle contains compost, plant food and hundreds of seeds for 29 different varieties of flowers, and eliminates weeding with the promise that flowers and foliage are so concentrated there isn’t room for them.

Flower Magic, by plant food company Scotts Miracle Gro, costs $20 a bottle.

It goes on sale in the United Kingdom from January in three varieties – multicoloured, blue and white, and pink and white.

Even though people are becoming increasingly keen to incorporate more greenery into their lives, they don’t always have the know-how, which is what makes Flower Magic so special.

How else might you assist wannabe green thumbs?
