Sometimes the best ideas for apps are those that simply re-purpose existing technologies.
Whether it’s making a kid’s toy talk, or creating an app that works with the camera functions of a phone, the essence of this new fun app from Japanese designer and developer Yuta Sugiura does exactly that.
The mobile phone app can be inserted into stuffed toys and will make noises based on how the toy is being handled. The light-sensing function of the camera monitors if it’s being squeezed, held or moved.
Can you come up with a simple app to meet a common demand from children, or to give tired parents a bit of relief? Or one that combines two always on-hand products in a new and responsive way?
