How Peeplcoach started
Christine Khor was working as an executive coach supporting CEOs and board members when she realised the field was cost prohibitive, and only really available to the most senior leaders, most of whom are male.
Peeplcoach would instead offer leadership training and coaching to people at all levels within organisations, and give women the resources and tools to build successful and productive careers.
Growth
As it turns out, democratising leadership training is good business. Khor’s first iteration of Peeplcoach used Facebook to deliver its bite-sized learning content, but customers hated the platform.
By March 2020, it had launched its self-funded proprietary platform, just days before Melbourne shut down. Taking the time to see what would be needed in the future, it focused on supporting women leaders, the largest cohort of employees facing burnout, and both quietly – and loudly – quitting.
That paid off, with a stunning 85% average year-on-year growth over the past three financial years.
Where to next
Next up for Peeplcoach is to wrap up its latest funding round, and grow the team in Australia and the Asia Pacific.
Peeplcoach is also representing Australia at the TiE Global Women Summit – Pitch Fest.
