How Ikaros started

Daniel Lohrmann was working as the head of growth and data insight in the property sector when he kept running into the same issue — an inability to properly attribute sales in B2B sectors to the marketing and business touchpoints that drove them.

So he founded Ikaros with a vision to create a full suite of growth tools based on superior reporting and attribution.

Growth

Starting as a consultancy to raise funds, the business is now self-funding the development of its own SaaS product, running a pilot with three customers.

As Lohrmann’s customers have grown, so has Ikaros. In the past three financial years, that’s been an average of 67% revenue growth, year-on-year. In the past twelve months, the Ikaros team has also grown by 50%.

Where to next

The goal is to have a ‘robust’ front end delivered by Q3 in 2024 while doubling the consulting side of the business.

The company will also need to navigate the next stage of growth beyond word-of-mouth to something more structured while perfecting its SaaS products. According to Lorhmann, that will give Ikaros the immediate revenue it needs, with a long-term product to keep it sustainable.
