Only 8% of small businesses in Britain say they would trust employees to work while away from the office, yet 42% of workers say they would work harder from home.
New research from BT Financial Group also shows a 30% rise in productivity after employees are introduced to work-from-home plans. The survey used the results from 3473 workers in businesses with less than 500 employees.
BT Business IT services director John Dovey told Itnews.com.au that businesses would do well to adopt the report’s findings.
“By unifying communications systems, our business customers can be more responsive to new opportunities and customer inquiries wherever they are,” he says.
“Faster reaction and fulfillment times are a positive way to increase customer satisfaction, increase loyalty and encourage growth. These technologies can also help to attract and retain staff through flexible working.”
