Power Play: Set the tone

Power Players take the lead when it comes to setting the tone. If they walk into the room in a bad mood, the whole room catches the disease.

If they walk into the room with boring in their head, everybody catches the boring bug.

Even when they want to scream at the top of their lungs, Power Players know that the room will look to them for mood and tone and reaction.

Setting the tone is a pretty hard thing to do when you’re having a shitty day. But Power Players know that you never get a second chance to make a first impression.

Moreover, Power Players also know that setting the right tone means you have to be totally in the moment. And this is incredibly hard to do. If you manage to do it, you deserve the Power Player badge.
