Power Play: Don’t share unnecessary information

Power Players never make the mistake of sharing every little piece of information. Knowing what to share and what to skip over is an invaluable skill Power Players have in their kitbag.

The reason why? When Power Players call the room to attention for a group broadcast, everyone knows the information will be important. Holding information back is an important part of a Power Player’s job. Useless information only acts to clog up the brain and take up valuable space that is better left for the stuff that matters: ideas, strategy, important milestones.

Power Players also keep to themselves the speed bumps and mini grudges that occur in any business from time to time. They understand that nothing good comes from sharing this type of counter-productive feedback.

Knowing what to share and what to hold back is an incredibly important skill to develop. And every great Power Player has it.
