When everyone else is in high drama mode, Power Players stay calm. They keep a cool head and they exude the type of calm that wins them admirers –and usually the day, as well.
If you break it down and really think about the value of drama, there’s rarely an upside. It often leads to a lot of unnecessarily-expended energy as well as upset and heartache.
Then there’s the calm approach. It takes up far less energy to stay calm and focused and Power Players know this.
They can hold onto their sense of reason and their decisions have a better shot at being the right ones.
The next time you are faced with a crisis, stay in the moment. See if you can stay calm. I promise you that added drama will not make your decisions sharper.
At the very least, your blood pressure will stay outside of heart attack range and you won’t feel as though your head’s about to explode.
