Over the last 18 months, the COVID-19 pandemic has been a catalyst for large-scale change in ways we could never have predicted.

In the business world, it’s been a driving force behind many businesses getting online. However, according to MYOB’s modelling, not all of us have digitised.

In fact, one in five small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) have no or low levels of digitisation.

Deloitte’s Connected Small Business 2017 report also suggests that SMEs with advanced levels of digitisation are 50% more likely to grow their revenue.

So, if you are yet to digitise the management of your business and haven’t explored ‘the cloud’, what are you waiting for?

The MYOB Business platform combines the best parts of their existing software into one, easy to use, cloud-based platform that grows with your business.

Taking the plunge into the digital world

Forget tedious manual bank reconciliations or having to dig through paper receipts and gigabytes of files when tax-time rolls around.

Online accounting with MYOB Business simplifies all aspects of managing your business’s finances including invoicing, cash-flow, tracking expenses, bank reconciliation and payroll.

On a mission to take more Australian and New Zealand businesses to the cloud, CEO of MYOB Greg Ellis believes that making digital adoption easier will be advantageous for businesses and the economy.

“We want to make accessing the right solution simple and easy for business owners, accountants and bookkeepers alike so they can spend more time on higher value tasks required to grow their business,” said Ellis.

“Identifying the challenges SMEs face and the importance of having reliable business management solutions, we’ve spent the last few years re-shaping our SME product,” Ellis said.

MYOB, your way

Upon the announcement of the MYOB platform’s refresh, Ellis said the company recognised the unique needs of SMEs and sought to deliver a digital solution that supports their business ambitions.

“We are excited to offer a customer experience that removes the time and cost inefficiencies that come from moving across a range of products,” said Ellis.

MYOB now offers five, easy to move between subscription plans for SMEs including Payroll Only, Lite, with core business features for smaller businesses with room to grow, and Pro, for rapidly growing businesses.

AccountRight Plus and AccountRight Premier are also a part of the MYOB Business product suite and contain all their existing functionality for more complex businesses, with a continued investment in the browser experience.

“MYOB Business, and its flexible new pricing plans, is designed to make it easy and affordable for businesses of all sizes and stages of maturity. The SaaS model allows for greater security than on-site solutions as well as continuous feature updates,” said Ellis.

The team at MYOB have invested heavily in their new platform and Ellis says the new platform brings an improved customer experience as well as additional benefits of the cloud, including ongoing software enhancements.

“It integrates easily with our online invoice payments and invoice finance solutions to help customers with cashflow, which will be vital with so many coming out of lockdown. We plan to release more additions to the product early next year,” said Ellis.

MYOB Business is now available in place of the MYOB Essentials and MYOB AccountRight product lines for new customers in Australia.
