PayPal has announced new figures showing mobile payments increased by 300% during the 2010 holiday season.
The company has also announced that it has recorded a 67% increase in the amount of charitable donations being given through its payment platform.
Free shipping is being pinned as one of the main reasons for the increase, with PayPal recording a 27% increase on the American Black Friday shopping holiday alone.
The company also recorded a 310% increase in mobile shopping on Black Friday. The company also said the growth of coupons and overall eCommerce has meant more people are migrating to their mobiles.
