A new report claims the third version of the iPad – which won’t be seen by consumers until at least next year – will come with a high-resolution Retina display.
The rumour comes as Apple prepares to launch the second iPad, according to various reports.
The new AppleInsider rumour claims that Ming-Chi Kuo of Concord Securities has said the iPad 3 will feature a 9.7-inch screen using the Retina display, the same seen in the iPhone 4.
The report also suggests that the iPad will use a type of technology that allows users to see the screen easier when tilting the device at an angle or placing it directly under sunlight.
The Apple Insider report also claims that the next version of the iPod Touch will be larger than the current model, and could perhaps come with a five or six inch screen.
