Naomi Milgrom is a prominent figure in the Australian retail sector, as she continues to head up ARJ Holdings, the holding company for retail brands Sussan, Sportsgirl and Suzanne Grae.

Rumours circulated that Milgrom was considering selling the retail group in 2017, but The Australian reports she still controls the company she bought from her parents Marc and Eva Besen back in 2003.

The company’s revenue for the 2017 financial year was $459 million, according to the same report, which also highlighted its profit levels dropped significantly.

Milgrom continues to focus on her philanthropic pursuits through the Naomi Milgrom Foundation, a not-for-profit founded in 2014 that has developed public art projects. She has established a $25,000 scholarship for female entrepreneurs at Ormond College’s Wade Institute and in 2010, received an Order of Australia for business and community leadership and philanthropy.
