Good article Michel. I would comment though that when we use this definition of ‘sustainability’, we shouldn’t necessarily accept it as a virtue. Business can and do run as finite length projects. There is nothing wrong with entering a market, making a killing at the peak and then shutting down.
Gearing towards short-term returns can be the right strategy.
