I am occasionally asked what I do for a living and my job title is. It is a simple answer. I am a salesman. I sell.
From the first interview at my company until now, I have been selling. I sold myself successfully to my employer. I negotiated my wage, and closed the deal with follow-up.
I sell every day – at work, which is good, I am an account manager, and at home – my kids eat foods that they really hate, but I sell them on the benefits, the imagination and the fact that it gets them closer to dessert…
Every day involves selling. And I love it.
