Getting staff involved? Good examples of engaging with the team. I guess if a company has this type of engagement on all sorts of levels as a default culture, then I’d presume that company would be a mighty success.
Resonates with me today in particular, because I just gave our team a graph of our forecasts vs expenses and Excel of marketing channels, the costs and expected results (and of course P&L to glaze the eye over).
So from that at least each month we can compare where we are at compared to forecasts. But after reading your article, I think I need to go back a step and get some understanding and buy in of the fundamentals (like your example cashflow to buy ingredients for the cup cakes) hmm… hungry now.
