The Productivity Commission will conduct a series of public hearings in the capital cities next February. The hearings are designed to hear feedback following today’s release of its draft report into retail tenancy leases.
The hearings will kick off in the ACT on 1 February in the Productivity Commission offices located at 15 Moore St, Canberra.
The hearing will then shift to Sydney, to the Holiday Inn’s Banksia Room in Victoria St, Potts Point, from February 4-7.
Brisbane’s hearing will take place on 11 February at the Hotel Grand Chancellor at 23 Leichhardt St. From there it will move to Melbourne, to Level 28, 35 Collins St on February 13 and 15.
Perth is next on the list and Rydges Hotel, on the corner of King and Hay Sts, has been chosen as the venue on February 18. The hearings will conclude in Adelaide on February 20, at the Mecure Governor Hotel, 125 North Terrace.
While the Productivity Commission has considered the 150 plus submissions it received, the hearings are where the “human” stories will get a public airing.
