Melbourne’s Crown Towers, Sydney’s Shangri-La Hotel and Palazzo Versace on the Gold Coast have been named the best hotels in the Oceania region by the annual HotelClub Awards.
It is the third time in a row the Crown Towers have placed in the top three hotels for Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands, which is the highest honour the awards offer.
Over 70,000 voters who judged the awards considered value for money, bar service, restaurant facilities, location, cleanliness, ambience, rooms and business facilities when casting their votes.
The gong for best service hotel went to Outrigger on the Lagoon in Fiji, while the award for best affordable hotel went to Quality Hotel Cambridge in Sydney. The Observatory Hotel in Sydney grabbed the award for best boutique hotel club.
The best global chain award went to Accor, while Mirvac Hotels and Restaurants picked up best regional chain.
