iiNet looking for Australia’s top geek

ISP iiNet is looking for Australia’s Top Geek in a new competition that will see the winner rewarded with travel and accommodation to top gadget exhibitions.

Sales and marketing officer Sam McDonagh said the company will be accepting videos from entrants explaining why they are the country’s biggest geek, with challenges to be set later on in the competition.

“At iiNet, we are surrounded by passionate people who are really good at what they do. Their dedication and eagerness to learn has showed us that being a ‘geek’ requires intelligence, confidence and an element of ‘cool’.”

“The competition is open to any type of geek – whether you’re a skater girl, manga-loving otaku, computer nerd, music fan or history buff – we want to hear from you.”

Winners will attend expos including Comic Con, Consumer Electronic Show, South by Southwest or Penny Arcade Expo.
