The one-ups continue in the telecommunications industry, with TPG now announcing unlimited bandwidth contracts for $79,99 per month.
The announcement comes after a number of other telcos including iiNet, Primus and Internode have all announced terabyte-size plans, effectively allowing unlimited downloads for many users.
TPG general manager Craig Levy told ZDNet.com.au the new plans provide better value than their competitors, given their new product is actually providing an unlimited source of bandwidth.
“Our competitors have created hype around their newly released Terabyte plans, but we believe that our Home Phone and Unlimited Broadband plan offers better value and the most affordable price. Our new plan has no limits on usage quota and Home Phone Line Rental is included,” Levy said.
“Our acquisition of Pipe Networks gives us access to large amounts of national and international fibre-optic broadband capacity through the undersea cable that connects Australia to the US and Japan,” he said. “We are one of the few players that have the capability to do this.”
