Apple is experiencing difficulties making enough touchscreens for the upcoming iPhone 4, meaning users could face more delays, one analyst has said.
An analyst has told the Australian Financial Review Apple is experiencing a production bottleneck, that could cause the number of expected shipments to drop by 50% to just two million units.
Ashok Kumar with Roman & Renshaw said that “demand for the iPhone is chasing supply on a near-term basis”.
The comments suggest Australian users will face even more delays, with over 600,000 pre-orders already taken in the United States. If the suspected product shortage continues, the Australian “late July” release date could be pushed back.
