Billionaire Richard Branson has unveiled a new underwater craft he hopes will take passengers to the bottom of the ocean at 10,000 metres.
The Necker Nymph craft, which has only been built in a prototype model, will be designed to explore areas of the ocean no one has explored. The ship itself is proposed to be built with technology used in fighter jets.
“It is very similar to an airplane flying in the sea. You can literally do loop-the-loops,” Branson said at the release.
Branson also said he hopes to have a number of different craft positioned around the world for holidaymakers to use. The release comes just after Branson released the first private space craft.
