VHA’s Three brand announced pricing changes to the company’s iPhone plans yesterday, before an early sale of the device for pre-registered customers took place.
The new prices come as the device is released to all other customers today, but Three has said that limited stock is available and users should act quickly to get their iPhone.
Two inner-city Melbourne stores said yesterday they had sold out of the new iPhone 3GS device by 10.30am.
The new prices change the handset installment amounts on each iPhone plan. The 8GB original iPhone 3G will now cost $5 on the $39 cap, and will be free on the $49 cap and the $79 cap.
The iPhone 3GS 16GB will now be free on the $79 cap or the $110 ‘The Works’ cap, while installments will now cost $10 on the $39 cap, an $8 decrease, and $5 on the $49 cap, a $9 decrease.
For the 32GB version, installments will now cost $14 on the $39 cap, a $10 decrease, $10 on the $49 cap, an $8 decrease, and just $5 on the $79 cap, a $5 decrease.
Unfortunately, the 500MB bonus for users on the $49 cap has been removed, but users can still purchase additional data when purchasing the iPhone. A pack of 500MB will cost $6 per month, 1GB will cost $10 and 3GB will cost $20.
