Cab and car sharing company Liftshare has just joined forces with Luton Airport in London to establish a car-sharing scheme for passengers and staff.
The social enterprising website joins the ranks with similar sites in New York and San Francisco, aiming to promote money saving, social networking and reduce carbon footprints.
The ridesharing network has about 34,000 members and is expected to help better link the airport to London, permitting passengers to be less reliant on the disparate public transportation options currently available to and from the airport.
Liftshare suggests passengers share the cost of petrol and that drivers do not make a profit from their passengers.
They also offer transportation services to small and large businesses.
