Is it possible to hear directly from an investor?

It seems that it’s even harder to get in front of investors these days. I’ve had a number of entrepreneurs who want to hear direct from investors, but are finding it difficult to make contact.

To answer these entrepreneurs, I’ve linked this blog to a video interview I did with Bob Christiansen (see below).

A bit more about Bob…

Bob Christiansen is a founding managing director of Southern Cross Venture Partners. Previously, he was a general partner and member of the investment committee of the venture capital firm Allen & Buckeridge for eight years.

At A&B he was a director of several portfolio companies, including eServ Global, Wedgetail Communications, VaST Systems, 8020 Software, Fultec Semiconductor, Mantara, Xerocoat and ActiveTorque. He is also a director of the Queensland Government supported technology incubator iLab.

This interview is packed full with tips from Bob about what you need to do if you want to:

·        Get to do a pitch.

·        What to say.

·        How to follow up.

And lots more.

Have a look at the interview. Bob Christiansen is a seasoned investor. He spent about 15 years in the US and has been involved in the Australian venture capital industry since the early days.

It goes for about 30 minutes, so grab a coffee (or a glass of red) and enjoy.

I’d really like to hear from you, so please let me know what you think of this video.

Until next time.
