Every start-up needs a bank, even though the relationship can sometimes be a frustrating one. But it’s rare to find someone with a foot in both camps.

Nick Reade is no normal banker, however. The general manager of SME banking at ANZ has invested in three start-ups and is looking to up his tally to double figures over the coming year.

So what does Reade look for in a start-up, in both his day job and his outside investment interests? Today, we speak to him to get his top tips.
