Regardless whether Team Julia or Team Kevin emerges victorious from Monday’s leadership contest, small businesses will have the same headaches as before.
The high Australian dollar, sagging retail spending and sluggish productivity have taken their toll on Aussie start-ups, and while the federal government can point to some notable victories, not least the overall economic picture, many SME gripes are not being heeded.
With this in mind, StartupSmart has drawn up a 10-point wish list for the prime minister – whoever that is. Hopefully, the endless leadership chat will give way to some genuine reform for start-ups.
