Telstra has assured its online customers that their services have been restored, following a potential security breach that affected more than 60,000 users.
Services such as BigPond email and My Account were hauled down after log-ins and passwords were published on the internet. Telstra said that most services are now back on track, although some may be running a little slowly.

Australia’s tourism sector will need to adapt to new market conditions if it is to remain viable into the future, a new report has warned.
PwC’s productivity report states that tourism businesses need to focus on the ”needs and preferences” of the booming resources industry.
Apple suffers court setback
Apple has suffered a legal setback in its latest patent dispute, with a German court ruling in favour of rival Motorola Mobility.
The Android smartphone maker claims that Apple failed to license one of its wireless intellectual properties.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by 186.56 points, or 1.55%, to 12,184.26 on Friday. The Australian dollar was up to 101.96 US cents.
