Cloud accounting company, Xero, has snaffled former Google exec, Stuart McLean, to its newly created role: chief revenue officer. McLean was head of enterprise for Google, Australia New Zealand. His previous employers include ERP solution NetSuite and enterprise software vendor Oracle.
He’ll work from Xero’s Wellington head office, leading the global sales and marketing teams as the company ramps up international growth. “I’ve been watching Xero for some time and am thrilled to have the opportunity to join the Xero team at this stage in its growth,” says McLean.
Xero was founded with backing from MYOB founder, Craig Winkler, and the two companies are now in direct competition. Winkler no longer holds MYOB shares.
