Tiger Airways has lost yet another CEO after Andrew David was poached by Qantas to run Jetstar’s international division.
Once David leaves, which he’s expected to do in “coming months”, he’ll be the third CEO to leave Jetstar in under two years.
Former chief Crawford Rix’s shock resignation came as the airline negotiated a grounding order from the Civil Aviation Safety Authority in June 2011. He was followed by Tony Davis – who left in November that year after only 5 months in job.
Virgin Australia recently bought a majority stake in the budget airline.
