Australian employees are opting for better pay and benefits rather than job security, a new study by recruitment company Randstad shows.
The survey of 7000 working Australians shows that 17% of them value job security as the most important factor, down from 26% a year ago.
One in five (20%) named salary and benefits as the most important factor, nearly double the result last year (11%).
Work/life balance ranks third on the list (11%) as the most important factor, but this is well up from last year when only 4% thought it was important.
